Time to Hook Up the RV and Go

The next chapter has begun. As of the 27th of February I no longer have a job and our journey is beginning. Yesterday we sold the last big item that was left, which was the boat. It helps to realize that what we are doing is the right choice for us. We had hoped to be in Florida on the 28th but with the boat situation, our departure from Tennessee has been delayed, but that’s okay. Not having a schedule and being able to postpone departure a couple of days is why we have chosen to live this lifestyle. Life on our schedule is what it’s all about.

Today is our 1st anniversary so the last thing I wanted to do was spend it on the road for several hours so we are waiting to leave on the 2nd. We spent our day organizing the 5er, the truck and picking up things that we needed. We decided to get the washer and dryer installed before leaving TN, so we don’t have to deal with laundromats anymore because I hate doing laundry that way. The installation couldn’t be done until Monday morning so we have another night here, but that’s okay. It’s one of the beauties of this lifestyle… doing things on our time. We also had a great lunch at Red Lobster and then headed home to enjoy the afternoon and evening relaxing. It was a great day.

The day has been a rainy one, but is more welcome than the snow and freezing temps we had over the last couple weeks. We hope the weather in Florida is sunny and warm.  At least in the 60’s and above.

See you on the road…
