Wow, I really need to get back to blogging on a regular basis. I keep seeing so many people who make big bucks blogging and I need to learn their tricks. I don’t care to make six figures and I have my doubts that those reporting they make that kind of money really do, but if I could make a couple grand a month, I’d be happy.
I went back to work full-time back in May and it has been an experience. When I left my job back in 2015 I had no intentions of ever working again, but when we moved to the lake in Texas to settle down for a while I needed to stay busy as I get bored and depressed sitting at home all day every day. The worse part of my job is the commute as I drive over an hour each way, which is getting old already, and I’ve only been doing it for 3 months.
We are now into August and our lives are fixing to take another tailspin as Greg goes in to have his third surgery in the last eleven months. In September 2016, he had to have emergency surgery when his colon ruptured. Surgery left him with a colostomy bag which he had until February 2017. Now he will be having hernia surgery and some clean up from the previous two surgeries. We will be going to the Dallas VA for this surgery and he’s experiencing some anxiety as the date gets closer.
I’ll be working from home for a couple of weeks so I can be close by while he’s in the hospital and then for at least his first week home. He is restricted to picking up nothing heavier than a gallon of milk, which will be hard when it comes to our furbabies. They are used to being picked up by daddy all the time and are just a wee bit spoiled.
